Andy Behrendt

Andy brings 20 years of expertise in managing and oversight to all the accounting and financial reporting at Barber Partners, as well as extensive expertise in commercial and industrial asset expertise. Finance is a critical role as we seek to build out scalable platforms, and we are excited to get Andy on board.

Longtime relationships form the backbone of Barber Partners. We met Andy many years ago when working together and he was our Controller for the multifamily and commercial assets of our former company as well as responsible for the public company reporting. Prior to joining our team, Andy was the Vice President of Accounting at Rainey Property Management Company.

Chief financial officers hold the top financial position in an organization. They are responsible for forecasting the organization's financial standing based on financial and operational data and reports provided by the finance and accounting teams and advising the CEO and board on strategic direction. Andy has taught us that being a CFO means more than just an advanced knowledge of accounting and financial concepts. He brings a depth of understanding about how the entire company and our industry works so he can help us be profitable and competitive. He’s also a strategic contributor to our rigorous due diligence and underwriting projects.

At other points in his career, Andy served as Assistant Controller at Invesco Real Estate, and prior to that was the Fund Controller at TA Associates Realty. He is a licensed CPA.

Andy holds an MBA from Boston University, School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Financial and International Business from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business.

Andy and his wife Stacey are proud parents of one son. The three of them enjoy traveling and spending time together.
